Saint John Paper Mill
Irving Tissue begins with the purchase of a paper mill in Saint John, New Brunswick. This new mill produces jumbo rolls of tissue, which are converted into quality consumer products.
Dieppe Tissue Plant
Construction is complete on Irving Tissue's first tissue converting plant in Dieppe, New Brunswick. Production begins for private label products and the new Canadian brand Majesta® is launched in Canada.
Fort Edward Tissue Plant
Irving Tissue acquires a paper mill and tissue converting facility in Fort Edward, New York. Irving also acquires the right to market Scotties® Facial Tissue in the USA.
Toronto Tissue Plant
Irving Tissue expands yet again and acquires a tissue mill and converting facility in Toronto, Ontario. Irving also acquires the rights to market the Royale® brand in Canada.
Diapers & Training Pants
Irving Personal Care opens a new state-of-the-art plant in New Brunswick, Canada to produce premium quality private label baby diapers and training pant products for major North American retailers.
Major investments were made in the Irving Tissue plant in Fort Edward, NY. Along with a building addition, a new through-air-dried (TAD) paper machine is installed, increasing capacity and product quality.
